yes, it's a brown laptop

After too much thinking, too much research and too much inner turmoil, I decided to jump in head first and purchase a new laptop. Yes, very exciting, but kinda crappy at the same time. See, I have this "problem" with spending large sums of money, so dropping hundreds of dollars on a new laptop (of which wasn't completely necessary) is kinda bitter-sweet difficult. That said, it's totally fucking badass!

If you aren't a geek about computer specs then skip this and move your eyes to the next paragraph. Ahem, you've been warned. I decided to go with Best Buy's Dell I1526 in a lovely espresso brown color (yes sir, brown!) featuring an AMD X2 TL-60, 15.4" screen, 3GB RAM, 160GB HDD, four USB 2.0 ports, firewire port, HDMI port, integrated webcam and did I mention it was a delicious brown color? Yum! (End geek speak.)

So, a new laptop will be making its way to my doorstep in the next week or so. And don't worry, I'll be sure to post a picture here as any proud parent would. Hmm, now that I think about it, maybe my laptop purchase was warranted. My current ancient piece of hardware (which I named "Lil Dunner" way back in 2004) is showing its age, struggles sometimes and for whatever reason can't figure out how to correctly burn a CD. Yeah ... it was time for a new laptop ... a brown laptop. I think I'll name it "Brownie".
