This past week, I had the displeasure of having my 2008 purchased (and now out of warranty) laptop's motherboard decide it wanted to end its life. So, it did just that and I was left to deal with the aftermath. Luckily, I got a lift over to the local Best Buy and found myself a new toy for the low, low price of a few hundred bones. Specs wise, it has an AMD Turion X2 RM-75 processor under the hood along with a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB HDD and a 15.6" LED lit display. Geeky fun!
My only hope is that I will not have to post a similar "new laptop" blog come 2012. Fingers crossed and rabbit's foot rubbed.

It's a Studio 17, so the specs are a bit different than yours, but it's AWESOME! It's cool to see that I'm not the only one with new hardware!
